Import Manager
The position reports to the President & Managing Director
Location: Athens
Responsibilities
- Overall responsible to manage the imports from non-EU countries according to the time schedule
- Lead the Department and provide guidelines to the members of the team
- Manage team’s performance to ensure required levels of productivity, customer needs and organizational objectives are consistently met
- Ensure documents are completed and updated in a timely and efficient manner and according to regulations and internal procedures
- Follow-up shipment status in the import area, identify incidents and achieve resolution
- Ensure accurate and timely service to avoid penalties
- Continuously monitor supplier performance and develop improvement plan when required
Requirements:
- University degree, preferably in Finance, Management or Logistics
- Minimum 5 years of experience at a managerial level in Imports from non-EU countries
- Ability to function both as a team and individual player with the ability to shift priorities as required by the business operations
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and ability to work under time constraints and business priorities
- High attention to details and cost efficiency
